SHOW UPDATE: This past Friday went very well at Animal House. Thanks to all of our old crowd who came to support us as usual. A very special thanks to those new folks who showed up (MANY OF YOU!!), and who will without a doubt become part of our old crowd. It was by far the best show, and best crowd at Animal House so far. For those of you who did not make it, after the show was finished, we were hailed to the stage to replay some of our songs.
REMINDER - we are back at Animal House this Friday night opening for the mighty SE203. We will start at 10pm, so be there on time. DIRECTIONS. Go to westbank. Take Terry Pkwy to Belle Chasse Hwy. Take left. Go to Behrman hwy, take left. Animal House is 0.5 miles down on your right. As usual, many thanks to SE203 for opening the stage to us.
NEWS: We recently received unsolicited news from the booking agent at the Hard Rock Cafe, New Orleans that we may be invited to play in the battle of the bands contest. We are supposed to hear something this week. More information to come.

He is holding up the process by not putting our photos and stuff on cd so dave can get the website up. He claims he has some sort of finger injury, which is not true, so don't take any of his crap. Subject: Hard Rock Cafe tonight!
Don't forget to stop by the Hard Rock Cafe tonight for our appearance in the battle of the bands! This same competition is going on at all Hard Rock Cafes around the country, and the winner moves on to compete nationally. We will be playing with three other acts, the show starts at 9pm sharp! We are not sure what time we go on because the order drawing will not happen until right before the show. So get there on time! The acts only have 30 minutes to play, and voting is done by the audience - so we need our people there. The cover is cheap - I believe it is only $5.
The website is up, and undergoing changes daily. Directions to all gigs are posted under "shows". The downloadable demo will be up within the next few days - Dave, it is on its way! Dave has also placed an email subscription box under "news". If you are on this email list, no need to subscribe. BUT, you can help us out by putting people who might be interested into our mailing list, or passing the word to your friends to check out the website and sign up so we can build our following and get some better gigs. Some of our cover art and photos are also on the sight, and it is still growing and being finished as we speak. Check it out - www.edgesetmary.com.
The demo is complete. It contains six songs. It is called "edge set mary, Live at Allen T. Studios Volume 1." We will be handing out copies at the show tonight so get there early while supplies last.

Subject: Hard Rock Cafe Re-cap
Things went very well on Friday night. Word from Hard Rock Cafe management is that we placed second, by less than ten votes. So those of you who "had other plans" or "weren't feeling well" - you may have cost us a trip to the finals. BUT, that is ok, we still love you, and you can earn points by coming to our next shows. Many many thanks to those of you who came out and supported us on a very important night. Even more thanks to those of you who brought new people out so that we can start to build our show. We shocked a lot of people, and every one of our available cd's was snatched up. They certainly weren't expecting the energy that grabbed everyone by the throat.
The sound crew and the Hard Rock Cafe management said we were the best, and they are going to book us again in the next couple of months. We just didn't bring in enough people to vote for us. We also drew the most votes from people who were not there to support one of their friends acts - as well as taking some votes from other acts - so, again, if you only would have been there!
We emptied 50 copies of our demo at the show, and made contacts with some other fantastic acts. The winner on our night was Alone at the Wheel, and they are a real class act. Extremely strong show and a much deserved following of fans. We are going to hook up some shows with them very soon, and we hit it off in a big way with these guys personally. We also have some tentative plans with Punch People and Each Sold Separately. We will keep you posted.
The demo should be up on the website very soon. (www.edgesetmary.com) We overnighted the demo to Dave on Friday, so keep checking back. Then pass it out to your friends.
Don't forget to catch us this coming friday night at Animal House. Directions are on the website.We had a fantastic friday night, and we definately turned a corner in booking bigger and better venues after the reviews we received. A handful of booking agents have approached us, and looks like we are off to the races. See you friday night at the Animal House.

Again, many thanks to our buddy Dave for helping us out.
The Demo: Edge Set Mary, Live at Allen T. Studios, Volume 1 is now up on the website. www.edgesetmary.com. Photos from the Hard Rock Cafe Show will be up soon, so keep checking in. If you have any friends who might enjoy our music, please forward them a link to the site so they can check out the MUSIC!
We are also on a massive email campaign to get people signed up to our email newsletter. So get people on the site and enter their email address. All you have to do is go to "News" and enter the address in the space. We will take care of the rest. The main purpose of this exercise is to start keeping people informed of where we are, and what we are doing. So give us a hand!
We will be handing out more copies of the cd at the Animal House show this Friday. They went like hotcakes at the HRC, and we will have 50 more copies this weekend for you. Show starts at 9:30, and we will be playing a full set (HRC only let us play 30 minutes). 7 new songs for some of you. See you there!!!!!

Subject: We're Back!
Hello all:
It has been awhile since we put an email out. Right at the top of our momentum after the Hard Rock Cafe show, Mat decided it would be a good idea to spend a month in Canada while Chris and I "held down the fort". Well, Chris and I actually ended up letting some weeds grow around the fort, so Mat has some yard work to do now that he decided to grace us with his presence!
We have been working on some new material, have made some great new contacts, and hit the ground running this week. More news to come on upcoming shows, a few good ones are in the works. Don't forget to check the website for new photos, music and show dates (www.edgesetmary.com). We hope everyone is doing well, and we just wanted to let everyone know that the train is back on the tracks!

Subject: upcoming shows!
Good morning all! As our last email stated, we are back on track. Mat got back in town from Canada last week, and practice went well last week. We have two new dates that you should mark your calendar for:
Friday, August 27 at Zeppelin's
Saturday, Sept 4 at THE BAR.
We have not played either of these places yet, so come out and support us so we will get asked back! Both dates are slightly tentative right now, and we should get final confirmation sometime this week. We will send out another email this week to confirm show times, and other acts on the bill. We will be opening for Straight Through at THE BAR, and many thanks to those guys for having us out!
I understand Mat has added some stuff to the website, so check it out when you get a chance - www.edgesetmary.com. We have also posted directions to the clubs under "shows". As usual, we will have copies of our demo cd available at the shows, or you can listen to the demo on the website.

Our guitarist, Dall Kammer, went missing shortly before landfall of hurricane Ivan. It appears he quit his job here in the city to pursue a life long dream to do weather research by creating a new division for the Air Force Reserve's 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron, though it is hard to tell if this was actually his motivation. Researchers believe he was actually on a self-imposed vacation.
Instead of traveling west to safety, our fearless Dall drove intrepidly EAST towards the oncoming hurricane and wound up in Atlanta, Georgia. Due to the lack of vacancy at any hotel in the area, he decided to spend the night in his car. The following day he drove off to what he thought would be back west but wound up driving completely off the coast into the gulf! Go to www.edgesetmary.com to see the video.
Finally, his car was extracted from the water and Dall was sent on his way... however he was not to make it back in time for the show at Animal House on the West Bank. Disgruntled fans picketed outside in the parking lot and vowed a vicious showdown at The Bar in Metairie for Saturday night's show. One fan was recorded saying, "Dall's amp sounds like a Crate anyway!"

Subject: Tomorrow night - Zeppelin's
Just a reminder that we will be at Zeppelin's tomorrow (Friday, Oct. 1)! We would like a strong attendance at this one, so if you haven't been out in awhile, or ever, or if you are always there like Preston, get out for a drink or two with edge set mary! Directions to the club are on the Website (www.edgesetmary.com). The club is right there in Fat City. For those of you who have not been to Zep's, it has a good lighting system and sound system - also an actual stage! The sign out front actually says "Z's" so don't pass it up.
We are going on first (three bands) and should kick off the first song at about 10:30. Our show will only go for about 50 minutes, so don't be late. Because we are going on first, we will start on time unless the club or other bands pull monkey business, which has been known to happen.

We are just finding out, 4 hours from showtime, that the show at Zeppelin's tonight has been cancelled due to PA problems. Apparently it's fried and they had cancel shows for the weekend as well.

Subject: Show Friday! Other Upcoming dates
Greetings all:
Just a reminder that we will be at Zeppelin's this Friday night (tomorrow). We are the first band, and will kick off the show at around 10:30. We will likely arrive in the new Edge Set Mary tour bus/Chris turner retirement home for kicks. Chris made it safely back across the country with the bus - an old Greyhound. Sorry for the mix up last weekend with the last second show cancellation. We contacted Zeppelin's, and they have a new sound system in place - so everything should be ready to rock.
We have booked a few more shows, directions will be on the website (www.edgesetmary.com) shortly:
1. This friday, Oct. 8 at Zeppelin's - show starts at 10:30.
2. October 29, at Hammerhead's w/Straight Through. These guys ROCKED with us at The Bar a couple of months ago, and as promised, we are hooking up a bunch of upcoming shows with our new partners in crime. Check them out!
3. November 5, at Animal House with the triumphant return of CELL!!!! Its true, the boys are reforming, and we are very excited. Some of you may remember when we tore the roof off of the Howlin' Wolf with these guys a while back. They are back together, and looking for a new singer - any takers?
4. November 10 - at HOWLIN WOLF with Straight Through. Again, come see us with these guys. They have been kind enough to start booking us on their shows, and we really want a strong turn out for this show at a great venue.
We were recently contacted by the Hard Rock Cafe's booking group, and they want to set some upcoming dates. We are also waiting for a November date from The Bar and are in talks with some clubs in Baton Rouge who have requested our services. Stay tuned! Come out and support us!

Subject: Hard Rock Cafe show added Need your Help!
As mentioned in the email yesterday, we were waiting on calls from Hard Rock Cafe and The Bar. Both called yesterday evening as expected.
Hard Rock Cafe show will be on October 28. Show starts at 9:00 we have been asked to headline this one. Only one opening act. Please mark you calendar for this show, we really need a good turn out so we will continue to be asked back to this venue. Your strong support during our appearance at the battle of the bands a few months ago was the key to this recent invitation, along with Hard Rock Cafe management digging our sound. Radio ads should be going on the air soon. Bring friends!!!
Also, the Bar called, and we are booked on October 23 and November 27. Mat should be updating the website (www.edgesetmary.com) soon, although we all know he is a little bit slow. Its probably all the vegetables he eats.

Just a reminder that we will be playing at The Bar this Saturday night. We will be opening for a great act called NOD. The Bar has been trying to hook us up with these guys for a while now, and we are really pumped about the show. You can check them out at www.nodmusic.com. October 28 Hard Rock Cafe - need everyone at this show!! - very important for a good showing so we can continue to book at this National chain. Flyers are up downtown and radio ads have hit the air! We are headlining this show, opening act is The Trashies. We don't know them, but are very much looking forward to meeting and jamming with them.
October 29 Hammerhead's - come see us with Straight Through. Another great act!
November 5 Animal House - the return of Cell! Free beer for band members, so the show will be fairly blurry. Keith will be hard to focus on because he jumps around a lot. He's the one with the rhinestone studded cod piece.
November 10 Howlin Wolf - another important show. We will be opening for Straight Through, and we need some bodies out there so we can repeat book at this great club. HELP US OUT!
November 27 Animal House - back with Straight Through and more free beer.
The new tour bus is awesome, and VERY large. We will likely bring it to some of the upcoming shows so everyone has a chance to party on it. We conquered half of the parking lot at Zeppelin's last week. We hope to take some road trips soon. Keep you posted!!! ALSO, edge set mary stickers, new cd's, and possibly t-shirts are on the way.

Subject: Need Your Help!! HRC Thursday night
Its time to come out and support us!!! The Hard Rock Cafe show is in two days - Thursday Oct 26. The show starts at 9 pm. We will hit the stage at 10pm sharp. Hard Rock was nice enough to ask us back after the Battle of the Bands show, so come out, have some food and drink, and make us look good. We NEED a good showing at this one. If you haven't seen us in awhile, or ever, I think you will be shocked at the show. Feel bad, feel very bad.
The turnout at the Bar this past weekend was extremely weak - BUT, that is OK because we hooked up with a great new act - NOD. These guys tore it up, and were a lot of fun to hang out with before, after and during the show. For those of you who have been scared away by some of the acts we have had to play with from time to time, look for more shows with this band. You will like them. Check out www.nodmusic.com. AND, many thanks to the guys from NOD for the kind words about edge set mary on their website. Looking forward to getting together again soon.

Subject: Update
The Hard Rock Cafe was loads of fun. Thanks to the FEW of you who came out to support us. It really means a lot to us, helps us get better shows, and we do take attendance.
This Friday night is the return of Cell with edge set mary at Animal House. It has been awhile since we have hit the stage with these guys, so we are very excited. We will be the first act on, so get there on time. Show starts at 10 pm
For the large number of you who did not come to the Hard Rock Cafe show - you have a chance to redeem yourselves at the Howlin Wolf on November 10. We are playing with Straight Through again - for another massive show. We tore it up with these guys again this past Friday night at Hammerhead's - although we were only playing for each other since the attendance was nil. HOWLIN WOLF is a great venue for us, and we hope you will turn out for this show so the owners will rebook us. The club owners love our show, but they need bodies in the place. They are placing a lot of faith in the show, so help us out. The printed up tickets and everything.
Until we get more memory in our email, we have to trim down our email list. Those of you who NEVER come out to shows, although some of our close compadres, will get zonked off the list after this email. We need the room for those who actually might come out. Sorry, we still love you, but we need to make room somewhere. You can always check out the website at www.edgesetmary.com to see where we are playing, which is just about every weekend now. We are exploring new avenues to expand our attendance base. Wish us luck.

Subject: In Hammond this weekend!
For those of you who are in Hammond, we will be tearing it up with NOD at Mule's bar tomorrow night. We will also be travelling to the show in the bus if anyone is interested! We are very excited to be back on stage with NOD after a great time with these guys at the Bar last month. Powerful show, lots of fun to hang out with.
As a recap on the Howlin Wolf show, if you weren't there - YOU MISSED A GREAT SHOW!!! We are very happy with the number that did show up. The management at the Wolf dug the show, and are psyched about getting us back in. We also enjoyed talking with Miguel Rincon, bass player from Overtone, and the possibility of some opening slots for these rock monsters seems to be a possibility. Thanks for the support Miguel!!! Thanks as usual to our many friends - especially Prestin. Also, special thanks to Tristan for making both the HRC and Howlin Wolf show - and this time, she brought friends!! MOST THANKS go out to our buddies in Straight Through. This was their show, and we always look forward to our time with them. We will be at the Bar next Saturday with Straight Through - and they will be at Checkpoint Charlie's the night before if you want a preview. We were supposed to join them on Friday night, but scheduling conflicts got in the way.
We are currently working with a great new booking agent named Derek. He is helping us set up some shows in Lafayette right now. Thanks for the hard work Derek.
Finally, we recently checked our website hit status chart thingy that Mat only understands. It seems that a lot of our hits are coming from Lowerline's website. Thanks for putting a link to us on your page fellows - Mat is revamping our website right now so we can return the favor!

Subject: This weekend
After everybody has filled themselves on Thanksgiving, come see Edge Set Mary at The Bar on Saturday. We are back on stage with Straight Through, and as usual, are pumped up to jam with these guys again. If you missed the Howlin Wolf show, this is your chance to get up close and personal.
The Hammond show was awesome. We took the bus, and partied before during and after the show. We actually had a good turnout for this show. Even more amazing, the crowd stood up by the stage and jammed with us. Amazing how that works. We opened for NOD, who played an awesome show. This was NOD's home turf, and we thank them for inviting us home to meet their crowd. WE ARE MOTIVATED TO RETURN TO HAMMOND GUYS!!! Lots of fun. Ready to tear it up with NOD very soon. Currently, we are set to play with these guys in Covington on Dec. 11. Looking forward to it boys! Also, thanks to the guys from Human Error. They were cool cats to hang with, and they set fire to the stage. Massive energy. They will be on the show with NOD on Dec 11 - we look forward to jamming with them again and again.
We are currently booking the rest of December and January. Dates will be available soon. The buzz is out, and we are getting more calls than we know what to do with. Come check us out!

WCPR 97.9 FM on the Gulf Coast invited us to do a live radio broadcast this Sunday night from 9 - 10 pm. They will play our songs, interview us between songs, and give edge set mary stuff away to those who call in. If you are in range - Check it out!!
Thanks to everyone who attended the show at the Bar this past weekend. As usual, Straight Through was great and we enjoyed another loud evening with them! I cut my hand and bled all over my guitar throughout the show - pictures on the website soon - very rock n roll.

Subject: BIG SHOW w/ SUPLECS at The Hangar
That's right, SUPLECS has agreed to headline our show at the Hangar @ Rendon Inn on May 14!!!!! They are just coming off their national tour with CLUTCH, which I believe ends on May 8 in Kentucky. We contacted these guys awhile back, and we are just now getting the confirmation which we thought was a long shot. We are very excited to have these guys agree to jam with us, and we want to make sure they have a huge reception. Here is the lineup for the night:
Show starts with RADIO DIVE - this is MJ's new band (lead singer for Straight Through).
Next is DOWN II NONE - this is a great band from Mississippi who we are trading shows with - How else do you think we got into Michael's at Mosspoint? Subject: UPDATE
We were able to work out our schedules at the last second, and have been added on to a show with Trick Bag and Human Error this weekend at the Last Call in Slidell. As it stands now, we will go on between Human Error and Trick Bag. Show starts at 9:30 for all of you in the Slidell area. ALSO, Cliff from Human Error will again take the stage with us to perform our song Freakcho.

Subject: UPDATE PICS!!!
The Hangar show was a blast!!! Many thanks to Suplecs who tore it up. If you haven't seen these guys, you need to get out to their next show - they ROCK! Also, many thanks to Radiodive and Down II None. We will be back on stage with Radiodive this Saturday night and on stage with Down II None next Saturday at their home base in Mississippi - Looking forward to it guys!! Subject: This weekend BIG UPDATE
Just a reminder to all that we will be at Michael's in Mosspoint MS this Saturday, May 28th with Down II None. We jammed with these guys at the Hangar at the Suplecs show, and are really looking forward to tearing it up again. The show starts at 10:00. We go on first.
Also, we just got word that Universal/Republic recording artists ELEMENT EIGHTY have agreed to headline our show at the Howlin' Wolf on June 22. Subject: shows this weekend
We will be at Hammerhead's on Friday night (6/3) with Human Error. Get on out to hear Cliff do Freakcho with us. Its a brutal treat and you know Human Error shreds.
Also, for everyone in the SLIDELL area, we will be at the Last Call on Saturday night. We had a good turnout from our new friends in SLIDELL last time we were out that way so come out and hang out with us again. We will have the tour bus there, so come knock on the door if you are one of our known fans. If you are one of our unknown fans, knock on the door and become known.
We will be opening for Universal recording artists ELEMENT 80 on June 22 at the Howlin Wolf. Mark your calendars for that one, it will be an awesome show.
Finally, ESM sends a huge congratulations out to Keith from CELL. He is marrying edge set mary's number one fan this weekend. Thank you both for your support over the years and we are looking forward to getting on stage with CELL very soon. Rumor is that they finally landed a new singer.

Subject: update!
We are just reaching out to everyone to let you know we are alive and kicking. We have taken the past few weeks off to complete construction of the new edge set mary studio. That's right, Allen T. Studios will be finished this weekend, and we should be moving in on Sunday. Chris built a second floor in his warehouse (where the shagadelic edge set mary tour bus sleeps. It will be our new practice/writing/recording pad. We are very psyched to have a place of our own). It is quite a room. It is actually a room built inside of a room with two independent sets of layered/insulated walls and ceilngs for sound proofing. We will immediately begin on our new recording and think you will really like the new material.
We are starting to book the next couple of months with live performances and will keep you posted on the progress. Thanks for your support over the past four years, and we will see you out there.

Subject: Edge Set Mary back live!!
Dear friends and fans:
Its been awhile, but we are back! Actually, we haven't really gone anywhere. Katrina slowed down the live performances, but we took that time to finish our newest CD. Now its done, and we are ready to get back to what we do best!
Our first gig back out will be Saturday, January 21 at Checkpoint Charlie's.
We will be back on stage with our friends from Trick Bag. There are three bands. We are scheduled to go on second. So get there by 9pm to make sure you are there on time, and so we get a chance to hang out a little. Come out and play some pool and hear us blow the dust off of our set. Three new songs! We will start off with some of these warm up gigs as we warm up the bus, and start to book around the South again.
We will have copies of our New CD ready for you at this show. As usual, we plan on giving them out because it is more important to us for you to spread the word about our music and shows than making a couple of extra bus. So come get one, and pass the word!!
The CD contains 6 songs. Three of them we have performed out live before the storm, but had not been recorded until now. Three others are brand spanking new and have not been performed live yet. Songs are:

Subject: Are you ready?? WE'RE BACK!!!
After too long, we are very excited to announce that edge set mary is back on the ROAD!! Katrina really put a damper on our live shows, but the bus is warmed up and we are ready to get back out live where we belong!!!!
Since August, we spent time writing and recording a new demo. We are ready to release the new demo to the masses!! (edge set mary Volume II). As usual, we will have copies of this new recording at all of our live shows, along with the old demo. Our set is new as well. Much new material to come listen to.
We are filling up dates from now through the end of summer. Although many more dates are in the works, both in and out of New Orleans, here is what we have locked down so far:
Saturday, April 19th @ Hammerhead's. Show starts at 9pm. We are bringing our friends from Floodstage.

Edge set mary will be at Hammerhead's on Causeway TOMORROW NIGHT!!!. We will be tearing it up with our friends from Floodstage and Trickbag. Come out and join us for a bourbon stained night of rock. Show will start at 9pm. Floodstage goes on first, we are second, and Trickbag will finish you off.
We are traveling to Nicholls State tonight to play with Radiodive! Katrina separated us for awhile, but it will be the perfect kick off to edge set mary's touring schedule to start off with Radiodive. Much excitement. Anyone in the Thibodeaux area, the show will be at the Library. I believe it is a private party, but the club will be opened to the public at around 10. We go on at about 7:45 - but come out and visit with us later anyway.

Subject: HOUSE OF BLUES!!!
Hello all:
Mark your calendars! We will be at the House of Blues Parish Room on Sunday, June 11. HOB called us to open for Socialburn who is coming through New Orleans on tour. Socialburn had a billboard top 10 song ("Down"/album selling over 100K copies) and was signed to Elektra records before it folded. They are just back from a tour with Sevendust and Nonpoint, and have toured with Seether in the past. They have performed on MTV's Last Call with Carson Daly and the Orlando Jones Show. We are very excited about HOB reaching out to give us an opportunity!
In addition, HOB and edge set mary are in the process of setting up an edge set mary headline show sometime in August. We will keep you posted on the dates and on the other bands we will be bringing with us. HOB has also expressed interest in booking us for future opening slots when other national acts come through. We will keep you posted on that as well.
So, we are off to the races again, and WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT to show HOB we can bring the party!!! WE have two NEW SONGS for this show that will positively kick your @$$!! We will have tickets available for sale, or you can buy them at the door (but we would prefer that you buy them from us). Show is $10 and it starts early since it is a Sunday night (8:00). Don't forget, we are opening for Socialburn at the House of Blues this coming Sunday night!!!! I think you will all dig socialburn if you have not already heard of them. They are easy on the ears. That's right! House of Blues called, and set us up for a show on September 9 due to the great response to our last show at HOB with Socialburn.
As usual, we have a handful of tickets that HOB has given us to sell direct to our people! So it helps us out a lot if you contact your favorite band member, and buy the ticket from us. Helps us show HOB who came to see US! Get on it early! This show will likely sell out!
If you can't reach us, or are out of town, you can get the tickets at HOB or Ticketmaster. But don't wait until the night of the show, because we expect this one to sell out.
We are bringing our good friends from Radiodive! That's right, MJ and the boys will be back on stage with us for an awesome show. We are also sharing the stage with our new friends from INVAIN!!! We just wanted to thank everyone who came out to the House of Blues show. It was awesome. More than 300 tickets were presold, and about 70 went at the door. Almost a sell out. Special thanks to our friends from Radiodive and Ethylene.
We each saw many old friends out there, and made many new ones. Your support is why we work so hard at this, and we sincerely appreciate it. We hope you had a great time, and we hope to put on another great show at HOB in a few months.

We will be in Baton Rouge this coming Friday night at the Darkroom (10450 Florida Blvd). This is an all ages show. Show starts at about 7pm.
